If the player wants to increase and optimize damage, using abilities like Revenge will give the leper a nice constant Strength tokens and sometimes Crit for the rest of the fight. If the player wants to continue increasing the Debuff resistance, using Reflection upgraded will increase it even more. This combine with Strength on Leper and Vulnerable on enemies make the already huge base damage even bigger. At the same time it increases Leper's Debuff resistance making him less susceptible to receiving Blind ( Note: The two Blind at Combat Start ignore this resistance). Tempest is a pure damage path available to Leper, increasing Chop's damage by 33%. This means enemies like Pit Fighter or The Lord are a big threat to Leper since these enemies can push him back with strong Knockback abilites. He has no way of attack from the back, and he has no ability that moves him forward, forcing him to move one rank at a time with his regular movement. The Leper's biggest downside is that he's restricted to the front two ranks. Leper main damage abilities are able to ignore Blind if you have Combo, this makes heroes like Jester, Occultist, Man-at-Arms and Runaway good allies for Leper as they can apply combo easily.
Fortunately Leper has the tools to combat this as Reflection allows you to clear Blind. The main problem the player will see is Blind tokens. While also being able to receive large amounts HP damage and stress for the team, protecting his allies. The leper is a durable front-rank hero capable of dealing huge amounts of damage. (access to all skills, Purge and Intimidate usable on Rank 1) Innate Blind Condition, Skills can Blind Self.Very Poor Rank Flexibility and Mobility.
Other paths may be unlocked in The Living City by spending Candles of Hope. All Heroes start the game on the default Wanderer path, which rewards candles upon reaching the second Inn but has no other effects.
